Establishment of mercury removal units in Western Desert at a cost of $29 million

The Egyptian state is keen during the current period to protect the environment in general, and to provide factories with tools to protect them from exhausts harmful to the health of workers and the environment, and to preserve the safety of factories and their friendliness to the environment.

The country’s approach to preserving the environment was evident during the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2022, which was held in Sharm El-Sheikh, in which Egypt presented its efforts to protect the environment.

The mercury removal units project in the Western Desert, at a cost of more than $29 million, was carried out by Egypt to protect the environment by providing factories with equipment and tools that help them not pollute the environment.
