The European Union supports Pakistan with 87 million euros to support green economic growth

The European Union has announced the provision of €87 million to Pakistan, with the aim of supporting green and inclusive economic growth, access to clean energy and the promotion of a skilled workforce in Pakistan. Agricultural value chains, providing access to clean energy and enhancing the availability of a skilled workforce.

Dr. Kazim Niaz, Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Dr. Rena Kiunca, Ambassador of the European Union signed agreements for three new development programs with €87 million funding from the European Union. The three programs were designed in close cooperation with the federal and provincial governments.

The programs are part of a broader coordination effort by the European Union and its Member States embodied through the Team Europe initiative, and they also contribute to the EU Global Portal, the European strategy to promote smart, clean and safe connections in the digital, energy and transport sectors and to strengthen health, education and research systems in the whole world.
