World leaders discuss ways to achieve climate neutrality at the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Summit 2023

The UAE city of Abu Dhabi will host the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Summit 2023 on Monday and Tuesday, with the participation of state leaders, policy makers and experts from various sectors from around the world. To discuss the most pressing issues and opportunities that contribute to stimulating global efforts to achieve climate neutrality.

Discussing food and energy security issues and how to form global financial structures that contribute to stimulating climate action

The Emirates News Agency, WAM, stated that the summit will focus on how to expand the scope and role of innovative and qualitative technologies, stress the importance of international partnerships, discuss food and energy security issues, and how to form global financial structures that contribute to stimulating climate action, in addition to discussing ways to secure stable supplies of energy. In parallel with efforts to achieve climate neutrality, this summit will provide a unique opportunity to build an ongoing dialogue between the main stakeholders and translate pledges into practical solutions.

COP28 Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change

The Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2023 summit comes within the framework of the UAE’s preparations to host the twenty-eighth session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), which will be held from November 30 to December 12 of this year. The Emirates Climate Conference COP28 will witness the first global review of the Paris Agreement. For the climate, where the progress made by countries in the framework of their national climate plans will be assessed.
