The Minister of Environment participates in the opening of the Arab Exhibition for Productive Families «Bayt Al Arab»

Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, participated in the inauguration of the Arab exhibition for productive families, the House of Arabs, at the presidential palace, which is held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and in cooperation with the League of Arab States, which was opened by Ambassador Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the League of Arab States, and Mrs. Nevin Al-Qabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, in cooperation with the League of Arab States and in the presence of Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Minister of Culture, Engineer Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Public Business Sector, Major General Khaled Abdel-Al, Governor of Cairo, Dr. Manal Awad, Governor of Damietta, and Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Nations Arab, Ambassador Moushira Khattab, President of the National Council for Human Rights, ministers of social affairs of a number of Arab countries, a group of ambassadors, a number of members of the House of Representatives and Senate, politicians and art.

The Minister of the Environment stressed the importance of this exhibition in supporting and preserving the Arab heritage from extinction and introducing the current generations to it, and providing an opportunity for the local population and handicraft makers to display their products and their heritage and highlight them as environmentally friendly products, especially the local population of the protected areas in Egypt within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Environment to integrate them into Managing and developing natural reserves by encouraging the preservation of their heritage and environmentally friendly products inspired by the local heritage from South Sinai, Nubia and Siwa.

The minister also witnessed an art show of traditional Arab costumes, which displays models of traditional costumes from a number of Arab countries inspired by their different environments.

Egypt is hosting the Arab Exhibition for Productive Families, Bayt Al Arab, until January 11, with the participation of 13 Arab countries, including the guest of honor, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as the head of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, and 150 productive families, including 70 Egyptian families, 80 families from Arab countries, as well as the participation of 8 Arab ministers of social affairs, namely: Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Lebanon, Libya, Palestine, Sudan, and Yemen.
