Under the auspices and organization of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities represented by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, the Ministry of Environment represented by the Environmental Affairs Agency, and the Port Said Governorate, the “Port Said International Festival for Observing and Photographing Birds will be held in its first edition in Ashtum Al-Gamil Reserve and Lake Manzala.

The festival’s activities will be held from December 21 to 25, in cooperation with Ashtoum El-Gamil Reserve, the Egyptian Society for Nature Conservation, and the Egyptian Wildlife Photographers Association.

Mr. Mohamed Salama, Head of the Central Administration of Tourism Offices at the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, participated in a speech in the press conference that was held today to announce the festival, during which he welcomed the attendees, indicating that the Authority’s participation in sponsoring this festival comes within the framework of activating the agenda of events and events in which it participates. The authority throughout the year in all regions and various tourist destinations to promote the Egyptian tourism product, and activate updated promotional plans, to add new tourism patterns in Port Said, including eco-tourism, tourism of reserves, and bird-watching tourism, which receives the attention of a large segment of tourists, which adds diversity to the Egyptian tourism product. In Port Said Governorate and put it on the map of international tourism.

Ms. Maha Galal Eid, Director General of the General Department of Internal Offices at the authority, explained that “The Port Said International Bird Watching and Photography Festival is the first of its kind in Port Said Governorate, and it is an open invitation to nature and wildlife lovers, migratory bird watchers, and amateur and professional photographers, to enjoy the reserve and its contents. of birds.

It is also a first step towards the development of bird-watching tourism, and the beginning of many activities that come within the tourism promotion plans for Port Said, which are carried out by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion.

Ms. Naglaa Abdel Karim, Director of the Authority’s office in Port Said, indicated that the press conference was equipped with promotional materials and tourist brochures about the tourist and archaeological sites enjoyed by the Egyptian tourist destination, as well as the new Port Said guide prepared by the Authority and which includes the tourist and archaeological elements in Port Said Governorate, where it was distributed to the attendees and guests. Guests were also given souvenirs.

Also, Mr. Mohamed Salama, during the press conference, honored Mr. Major General Governor of Port Said with the shield of the authority, and it was received on his behalf by Mr. Deputy Governor. The Authority’s representatives also presented certificates of appreciation to the participants in recognition of the role they played in making this festival a success.
