Coming from all countries of the world bringing their visions and ideas to participate in the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (Cop 27), they are young Egyptians studying abroad and specialized in environmental fields, renewable energy and green hydrogen.
Young people, in the presence of Ambassador Soha Gendy, Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, will participate in the activities of the session “Towards Zero Carbon Emissions” tomorrow, Thursday, at 1:00 pm in the Green Zone, within the sessions of the twenty-seventh Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change “Climate Conference.” Cop 27, to submit their proposals to the concerned authorities, in order to achieve the strategy of the Ministry of Immigration in linking Egyptians abroad with what Egypt is witnessing in terms of activities and development plans.
For her part, Ambassador Suha Gendi indicated that the discussion session will discuss reducing the effects of carbon dioxide in factories, capturing it and storing it, adding that the experience of linking digital transformation technologies to confront climate changes will be reviewed, as well as studying the reactions resulting from these changes and their repercussions on the world. In addition to presenting innovative solutions and applying them in Egypt, in addition to discussing renewable energy sources and their future in Egypt, as well as proposing ways to benefit from our natural wealth of wind, sun, and other clean energy sources.
And the Minister of Immigration added, “We are keen to transfer the experiences of Egyptians abroad and support their communication with the ministries and institutions of the Egyptian state in the fields of energy, including hydrogen projects, green ammonia, and enabling sustainable energy uses to support the goals of climate neutrality and clean energy production, to meet the needs of the Egyptian state.”
The Minister of Immigration added that our scholars and researchers abroad spare no effort in providing their knowledge and expertise in supporting various issues, stressing that the Ministry is keen to support young people in various scientific and research fields, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership to empower youth and enhance their capabilities, explaining that today’s youth are the builders of tomorrow, and that We have a scientific wealth abroad that we are working hard to invest and transfer their expertise, which adds to our soft power, and contributes to the transfer of experience and knowledge that we need to localize industries.

Mina Hanin:
Researcher and lecturer at the School of Cybernetics at the Australian National University, with a background in robotics and an interest in responsible technology, has worked on applying cybernetics to complex systems such as climate change, has created a mechanism that can put out bushfires in Australia in 5 minutes, is working on a project to solve a crisis Transportation and traffic in Egypt. He is one of the first in the republic to graduate from high school. He graduated from the German University in 2012. He obtained a double master’s degree, one from Italy and France. He joined the Swiss Federal Academy of Technology.
Hisham Abdel Nasser:
An expert in the field of energy and sustainability and aims to accelerate the energy transition in Egypt and Africa, he obtained a double master’s degree in energy transmission, he works as a green hydrogen project developer at Scatec ASA, the world leader in energy solutions, energy consultant at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), seeks to publish Awareness about green hydrogen and green ammonia projects to make Egypt an energy center in the eastern Mediterranean region.
Rami Al-Adly:
Director of Research and Development for Renewable Energy Magazines in the United States of America, and he holds a master’s degree from Harvard University in the field of sustainability management. Photovoltaic solar energy (PV), in addition to solar thermal systems. Rami has worked in many locations around the world in Egypt, the United States of America, France, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. He also used the technology of concentrated solar heat and sand to generate electric power. Ramy is currently tackling the most complex challenges in the field of offshore wind energy.
Dina Ayman:
Leading Egyptian-American program manager in software engineering programs at Microsoft, and a professor of computer and electrical engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, she graduated with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in the same year in computer engineering with honors, she was awarded the Forbes Under 30 Award for North America 2022 in The field of enterprise technology, as honored by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for being one of the most influential youth in the world, at the Global Youth Forum 2022.
Nadine Mustafa:
PhD researcher at Imperial College London in the Department of Chemical Engineering. Nadine graduated in Chemical Engineering with Business Administration from the University of Birmingham. Her doctoral research focuses on technologies for capturing carbon dioxide from plants, similar streams, and air. Nadine has gained industrial and academic experience throughout her career through work with international companies and university research. Nadine has experience as a consultant specializing in carbon capture, utilization and storage, sustainability and net zero strategies. Her experience includes various industrial fields through scientific research and technical aspects. She is the Program and Policy Officer for the UK Emissions and Business Alliance and a member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers UK.
